Description
The project will contribute to strengthening and improving the provision and quality of vocational training in the roofing sector by introducing up-to-date learning modules for roofers' apprenticeship programmes on the latest installation techniques/technologies and safety standards, also covering key technical and transversal skills requirements.

Aim
The specific objectives of the project are:
To define professional requirements for roofers that reflect current needs and new and existing technical and non-technical skills gaps.
To develop a customised curriculum and training content for work-based learning of roof installation/maintenance and safety techniques.
To support VET providers in integrating project materials and adapting their WBL and VET offerings to new skill requirements.
To pursue industry recognition of the new skills required.

Outcomes
Results of the project/initiative:
1. Measurable and evidence-based learning outcomes for VET provision, through consultation with training experts, academics and industry practitioners.
2. Formal VET teaching units, training and assessment materials, and trainer kits for course delivery.
3. An online training simulation game to support individual and self-directed learning.
4. Five on-site training seminars (one per module) and five virtual workshops on the use of the simulation game, with 1,100 qualified roofers.
5. European-level occupational requirements scheme for roofers and updated professional profiles.
6. A project with specifications for a European-level qualification for roofers.
