Description
Project aims to provide state of the art and support to construction companies, workers, and experts of a proper implementation of the European occupational exposure limit value for RCS.Final project deliverable -mapping exercise uses a traffic light system to present, for as many construction activities as possible, how companies can reach a green light, by taking the correct measures to prevent exposure to respirable silica dust.

Map various types of construction works and evaluate their level of RCS exposure; Evaluate the level of protection needed for the different types of construction works; Describe technical and organisational measures to reach the best achievable level of protection.

Results of the project/initiative:
Conducted research report presents information on the state of the art in RCS prevention, including the most advanced technical and organisational solutions for prevention on construction sites.
Impacts/Outcomes 2:
Mapping exercise, describing the technical and organisational measures for as many construction activities as possible to reduce the emission or exposure below the limit value. A green light indicates prevention practices that will meet the limit value, a red light indicates practices that will not meet the limit value, and a grey zone indicates practices that are still unclear and may be closer either to green or red.
