Description

DigiBAU2 supports the digital transformation of construction vocational education by converting analog curricula into digital and blended‑learning formats. Through a nationwide competence network, digital learning resources, virtual training modules and platforms were developed and made accessible to VET providers, trainers and SMEs in construction.

What makes this project/initiative unique?:
It addresses to a variety of European priorities (e.g. the aforementioned European Skills Agenda, the European Green Deal or the Digital Agenda), It identifies the training needs for developing adequate programs in respect of trasversal skills, promotion and attractiveness of construction industry, energy efficiency, digitalization, green and sustainable construction, It integrates the necessary construction green skills in VET, It helps the cooperation with VET international networks

Partners

Partners include multiple German construction VET centers, universities and competence centres.
The consortium jointly developed digital learning environments, blended‑learning formats and a national digital “shop window” for construction‑related training offers.

Aim

The project aimed to modernise construction VET by systematically integrating digital learning methods, tools and platforms. DigiBAU2 established a Community of Practice connecting universities, VET centres and construction stakeholders to assess skills gaps, redesign curricula, and improve the accessibility and quality of digital construction training nationwide.
