Developing apprenticeship systems and alternation between education and work in Italy through orientation and placement actions aimed at entering the world of work
FiXo was a project carried out by Formedil and 7 building schools in northern, central and southern Italy. It regards apprenticeships and school / work alternation of young people.
It was financed by ANPAL Servizi, the Italian National Agency of support to the Ministry of Labor for actions relating to training and job placement

Aim
Developing the apprenticeship and the alternation between education and work in Italy through orientation and placement actions aimed at entering the world of work
Outcomes
Results of the project/initiative:
Impact:
• More qualified young people
• Lower youth unemployment
• Possibility for companies to get to know young people before hiring them at an undetermined temple
• Shorter time between studying and working in the company
Outcomes:
• 50% of the young people who participated in the project found work in the same company where they did their apprenticeship. Young people were hired in both high and low employment rate Italian regions (e.g. south)
• All the young people who participated in the project acquired various technical skills related to soft skills
• All the companies that hired young people for apprenticeships were satisfied
About 70 apprenticeship contracts have been activated, among professionalising apprenticeships and first level apprenticeships.
All contracts were activated through the BLEN.it National Construction Work Exchange, a meeting between supply and demand service managed by Formedil, in collaboration with the CNCE and the Building Schools at local level
Each young person had a CV in the Europass format
Each company has one job application published on the BLEN.it web portal
